9% per annum (simple) for each year the Plan is in force, so the returns at each possible maturity date would be 9% (end of year 1), 18% (end of year 2), 27% (end of year 3); 36% (end of year 4); 45% (end of year 5); 54% (end of year 6); 63% (end of year 7); 72% (end of year 8); 81% (end of year 9) or, if the plan runs a full 10 year term, and the Index Levels are at or above their Opening Levels, 90%.
If the Index Levels are below their Opening Levels no investment return will be payable.
Capital Return
Capital will be returned in full at maturity, provided on the 19 June 2019 neither of the indices are more than 50% below their Opening Levels.
Only if one or both of the Indices are more than 50% below their Opening levels will investors suffer a capital reduction. If this were the case capital will be reduced by 1% for each 1% the lower performing Index finishes below its Opening Level. Please see the brochure for a full explanation of the calculation, plus examples.
Counterparty Risk
The securities will be issued by Société Générale, a major financial institution with a rating of ‘AA-‘ by Standard and Poor’s at the time the brochure went to print. Counterparty risk is common to all similar investments
