Introduction

Meteor was established early in 2006 to provide both individual and institutional investors with access to an organisation that is keen, able and willing to design and implement financial solutions that meet their current and future needs.

We aim to achieve these objectives either through our standard range of products or by the use of bespoke arrangements. Whilst the make-up of these solutions is not always straight forward the results can be very attractive.

To create these solutions we utilise the strong relationships the team members have with numerous leading financial institutions from around the world. Through these relationships we aim to bring our investors the most competitive terms available in the marketplace. In a market where the future is unknown and security is important it is our aim to only use asset providers with a high level of financial strength. Counterparty risk will be based on financial institution current rating of at least “A”, from Standard and Poor’s, or a comparable credit rating agency, to help protect our investors.

In developing our standard ‘retail’ offerings we work closely with Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and their clients, listening to their views on the type of products they need; this research is an essential element in our product development process and we always welcome any comments or input.

Where demand is of a sufficient level we can offer a ‘bespoke’, or ‘white labeled’ solution for either the client or adviser who has individual and/or specific requirements. In such circumstances we would work with the adviser and/or the client with a view to providing a one-off solution. However, due to the structuring requirements this option does normally require a commitment of some £1m/$2m plus, although we’re always happy to discuss any proposition. The more complex or unusual the structure the larger the minimum size.

In the corporate arena we have the capability to work with institutions, charities and pension funds who are aiming to either reduce business risks or improve the financial performance of their assets by either enhancing returns or by minimising any anticipated downside of their portfolio.

Whilst Meteor is UK based, we do offer Plans that are available around the world in all major currencies. This rapidly developing element of our business and it re-affirms our belief that the appeal of our offering is not limited to the UK but has an appeal to a worldwide audience.
